  • To promote ethical AI usage and raise awareness of AI's societal impact.

  • To inspire a passion for AI and technology, encouraging further exploration and learning in this dynamic field.

Program Components:

AI Basics Workshops:

The program will commence with introductory workshops covering the basics of AI, machine learning, and deep learning. Participants will gain a fundamental understanding of AI concepts, terminology, and real-world applications.

Hands-on AI Projects:

Mentors and instructors will guide participants through a series of hands-on AI projects. These projects will involve building AI models, coding in popular programming languages like Python, and working with AI frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch.

AI Toolkits and Resources:

Participants will have access to AI toolkits, datasets, and online resources to further their learning and exploration. This access will enable them to continue developing their AI skills beyond the program's duration.

AI for Social Good:

The program will highlight the potential of AI to address social challenges and make a positive impact on the community. Participants will be encouraged to develop AI solutions that address real-world problems, fostering a sense of responsibility and social awareness.

Mentorship and Industry Insights:

AI professionals and industry experts will serve as mentors, offering valuable insights, guidance, and career advice. These interactions will provide participants with a better understanding of AI careers and opportunities.

AI Showcase and Competitions:

A culminating AI showcase event will provide participants with the opportunity to present their AI projects and compete for recognition. This event will celebrate their achievements and inspire further learning and innovation.

Ethical AI Discussions:

Discussions on ethical considerations in AI development and usage will be integrated into the program. This ensures that participants understand the importance of AI ethics and responsible AI implementation.

Some of the tools we can use are:

  • Chat GPT: Chat GPT is an AI language model developed by OpenAI. GPT stands for "Generative Pre-trained Transformer," and it is the third iteration of the GPT series. The model is based on the transformer architecture, which allows it to process and generate human-like text based on the patterns it learns from vast amounts of training data.

  • DALL E: this is an extension of the GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3) architecture that is specialized in generating coherent and contextually relevant image descriptions or captions based on textual prompts. It combines natural language processing with computer vision techniques to produce detailed and imaginative image responses.

  • Cognimates: Cognimates is an AI education platform designed for kids to explore AI concepts, create their own AI projects, and develop problem-solving skills. It provides a hands-on experience in AI programming.

  • Dash and Dot: Dash and Dot are robot companions that introduce kids to basic AI and coding principles through visual programming. They encourage creativity and critical thinking while having fun.

  • Ozobot: Ozobot is a small, programmable robot that enables kids to learn about AI, coding, and robotics. It offers both block-based and text-based programming interfaces suitable for various age groups.

  • Machine Learning for Kids: This web-based tool allows kids to train machine learning models on simple datasets, helping them understand the basics of machine learning and its applications.

  • Minecraft Education Edition: Minecraft's education edition incorporates AI and coding features, allowing kids to create interactive worlds and objects while learning programming concepts.

  • Scratch: Scratch is a popular block-based programming platform suitable for kids of all ages. It provides an excellent foundation for understanding AI and coding logic.

  • IBM Watson Studio (Lite): For older kids and teenagers, IBM Watson Studio Lite offers a more advanced platform to explore AI, machine learning, and data analysis. It's a great tool to dive deeper into AI concepts.

These AI tools for kids provide a safe and interactive environment to learn and experiment with artificial intelligence, coding, and robotics. They encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and creativity, making the learning experience both enjoyable and educational.

These are some of the tasks kids would learn to develop:

(Ages 12 to 15)

Create a Chatbot:

Task: Build a simple chatbot using AI tools that can interact with users and respond to basic questions or prompts.

Goal: Introduce kids to the concept of natural language processing and chatbot development.

AI Image Recognition:

Task: Develop an AI model that can recognize and classify objects or animals in images.

Goal: Teach kids about computer vision and image recognition using pre-trained AI models or custom datasets.

AI Storytelling Assistant:

Task: Build an AI tool that generates creative story ideas or characters based on user input.

Goal: Foster creativity and storytelling skills while exploring natural language generation.

AI Game Development:

Task: Create a simple game using AI techniques, such as incorporating AI-controlled characters or decision-making elements.
